Simply Quimby at 461 3rd St N, Dassel, MN 55325, was birthed in a big red barn near

Cokato, MN by 3 generations of women; Barb Bolander, her mother Carolyn, and Barb's daughters.

Barb wanted to create a business that would allow her to be home with her children, yet make a positive impact within her community.

They moved their dream to the old bakery on Atlantic avenue in 2016, with a soft opening during Red Rooster Days over Labor Day weekend. Their storefront offered crafts, hand made goods, and classes.

Barb's drive moved the business forward.

Her brand of community involvement and fresh, exciting offerings grew her business to the point that they moved to their new site on 3rd St North 3+ years ago.

Walking through the door this morning I was struck with the sheer amount of goodness spread before me. Organized goodness, rooms of goodness, sheds of goodness, and an unbeatable mission statement; The home is the heart of the family! We create, re-love, and find treasures to help you create a happy home.

They now have over 30 vendors, a crazy wild

ceramics business (with 20,000 molds), classes nearly weekly,

and a reputation as a cornerstone of our business community.

With Simply Quimby Barb has hosted special events, street parties,

holiday escapades, and general great fun.
