The group was established in the fall of 2021 and was the brainchild of Barb Bolander of Simply Quimby.
We have had Business Groups in the past but at the time none of them are active.
The first meeting was held at Simply Quimby and well attended. All the meetings since then have been equally attended. The members are enthusiastic, engaged, and ready to implement any ideas.
The group, comprised of business owners, both new and well established in our city, meets monthly at various business sites in Dassel. They have no actual statement of intent. Instead, they operate on a grass roots agenda. Their goal is to enhance Dassel’s growth, build upon our already positive image in the area, and in general help to create a more dynamic community, downtown and everywhere in our city.
To date they have successfully facilitated several successful events. The Superhero party in July, Family Fun Day on Memorial Day in conjunction with Red Rooster Days, and an updated Dazzle Dassel.
Building on these events they would like to continue to put on annual family events.
The group will present an Easter Bunny on March 27, 2023, another Red Rooster Fun Day and another Dazzle Dassel Event renamed Dashing through Dassel on December 2, 2023.
